Traffio helps Stamp it Out Summit
Here in the UK abuse of those in a public facing role is a growing problem on both the local and strategic road networks. This can affect the physical and mental health, and well-being of those individuals on an alarmingly regular basis. What is worse is that incidents are becoming increasingly severe, involving knives, shotguns and crossbows being pulled on workers as they go about their daily tasks - which NO ONE should have to deal with.
Stamp it Out, which originated in the transportation sector believes this is wholly unacceptable and wants to see abuse of all kinds whether verbal or physical, eliminated on all road networks and indeed in the wider society. Their vision is a United Kingdom where all those working in public facing roles are treated with the respect deserved of those operating in such challenging and dangerous conditions every day.
The Stamp it Out Summit is building on the huge success of last year's launch, now an annual summit that will examine the subject of abuse in much greater detail and look at strategies that employers can and should adopt, and the support available from law enforcement agencies and broader society to further improve the daily work life of those in the public-facing roles.
For the team at Traffio, knowing that our customers are having such challenges on the roads and in their roles is something that we want to support solutions for. Everyone should be able to get home safely no matter where they are and what they are doing. Stamp it Out is looking for solutions and we wanted to support this.
As a an independent platform that works closely with the Temporary Traffic Management industry (and others), focusing extensively on operational efficiency to provide software that empowers, digitalises and grows businesses and safety is of paramount importance to Traffio, as Director Jeff Hills explains when speaking about why he wanted to be involved in the summit, he said,
"We support a collaborative approach to traffic safety and are proud to be involved in the Stamp it Out programme so as to educate the general public that whilst working on site our operatives just and to feel safe and free from threats".
